Job Description: Social Media Manager (Part-Time Contracted Position)

Hot Tub Boats is the first and premiere Hot Tub Boat Rental Company. Since 2012 we have been providing a unique and amazing experience to our customers. 

Position Overview:
As our part-time Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for creating and managing content that reflects our brand’s voice, keeps our audience engaged, and aligns with our marketing goals. You will handle everything from daily posts to larger-scale campaigns and collaborations. You will also play a crucial role in maintaining our brand’s personality across platforms while staying on top of current trends and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation

  • Pictures & Short Videos: Create fresh, on-brand content (photos and short videos) a few times a month to showcase current happenings. Estimated hours: 3 hours per month.
  • Longer Shoots: Plan and execute less frequent, longer video shoots (e.g., telling a story, professional PR content, specific shot lists, involving people or boats). Estimated hours: 10-15 hours per quarter.
  • Editing Weekly Content: Edit and prepare content on a weekly basis for social media. Estimated hours: 2 hours per week.
  • Editing Quarterly Content: Edit and prepare longer-form quarterly content. Estimated hours: 10-15 hours per quarter.
  • Design Promotional Materials: Design flyers, ads, and PR/collaboration packets. Estimated hours: 1 hour per week (varies depending on demand).

Posts & Social Media Engagement

  • Active Posts & Stories: Post regularly to keep our voice consistent and promote current promotions or happenings. Estimated hours: 3 hours per week.
  • Sharing Customer Posts & Collaborations: Engage with and share posts from customers and collaborations with other businesses. Estimated hours: 1 hour per week.

Voice & Community Management

  • Replying to Comments: Engage with our followers and customers in a fun, friendly, and authentic way while maintaining the company’s voice.
  • Writing Blurbs, Blogs, & PR Snippets: Write creative blurbs, blog posts, and PR snippets for posts and media outreach.

Collaborations

  • Collaboration Management: Respond to collaboration requests from other businesses and social media channels, filtering and assessing opportunities that align with our brand.

Hours:

  • Average 10-15 hours per week
  • Flexibility in schedule is required, with some weeks having more focus on content creation and others requiring more time for editing or collaboration management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Social Media Manager, Content Creator, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) and content trends.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar).
  • Experience with content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar).
  • Ability to write in an engaging, fun, and brand-appropriate voice.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Experience with video editing and photo editing software is a plus.
  • Creativity and a passion for storytelling through visual and written content.
  • Previous experience in managing collaborations and partnerships is a plus.
